Official Budapest considers the Ukrainian law on education “semi-fascist” and continues to insist on making changes. This was stated by the head of the administration of the Prime Minister of Hungary Gergey Guiash, the press service of the government.
“Ukraine currently has a government that trample on the rights of minorities, it has adopted a” semi-fascist “law on education,” he said, adding that Hungary is continuing to insist on amending legislation.
Answering questions about the presidential election in Ukraine, Guiash said that “he sincerely hopes that Hungary will be able to communicate with the new administration because they were unable to communicate with the current one.”
Earlier, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban stated that agreements with the current political leadership of Ukraine for Budapest are not possible. As it is known, Hungary blocks the holding of meetings of the NATO-Ukraine Commission, speaking about violations of the rights of Hungarians living in Ukraine through the provisions of the law on education, which state that the language of the educational process in educational institutions should be a state language.
