Today, on July 4, the Patrol Police of Ukraine is celebrating three years anniversary. At the same time, National Police Day is celebrated today. The corresponding decree was signed by President Petro Poroshenko a few months ago. On successes and defeats, greetings and criticisms of law enforcement officers – in reactions from DUMKA.
Taking into account that we’re speaking about the birth, I suggest starting our review by greetings, because we all know: dissatisfied and critics will always be in sufficient quantity. Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov in his greetings assured that policemen already have something to be proud of: people trust the police more and more. But the road that policemen walk Avakov called difficult, because it goes through the errors and resistance of the old system, through unbelief and criticism, through pain of losses and the joy of victory. Well, well, well. Mr. Arsen, I appreciate the fact that you haven’t declared absolute victory and no defeats.
Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine joined the congratulations of colleagues. The festive post emphasizes the high professionalism and loyalty of police, round-the-clock guard of public order and safety of our streets. That’s right boys, and then you’ll be congratulated on something. Sort of praises for praises, you know.
The first deputy head of the National Police Vyacheslav Ambroskin, what’s quite expected, claimed that over the last three years the situation has changed gradually and citizens are grateful to their police. But, you know, darlings, something has definitely changed. And no, Mr. Avakov hasn’t paid me with backpacks. You know, bad guys are everywhere and always, but I’m glad that there are enough of good ones.
Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Ihor Zhdanov has also joined to felicitation. According to him, over the years, the level of trust in the police has grown significantly and this is the best indicator of the success of the reform. Mr. Ihor, with all due respect and reluctance to spoil the party, it would be great to add some facts to such a statement. I can also say that Stepan the Goat is going to be the leader in the next presidential race, God forbid.
A few words on the occasion of the holiday were said by MP and ex-journalist Mustafa Nayyem. The politician is convinced: policemen rarely enter our lives during joyful moments and throughout the year they are under the sight of criticism. This is how it goes, unfortunately, it’s impossible to name cops the postmen of joy.

Therefore, in his congratulations, the specialist emphasized: don’t expect anything from above, improve yourself. Rather philosophical and rational, so on this point we’ll finish.
