National Joint Stock Company “Naftogaz of Ukraine” estimates losses for Ukraine from gas contracts in 2009 up to 32 billion dollars. This was announced at a briefing on Thursday by Andriy Kobolev, chairman of the company, writes Ukrainska Pravda.
“Over the period before Naftogaz won the Stockholm Arbitration, Ukraine has already suffered irrecoverable losses of $ 32.1 billion, each Ukrainian family – by UAH 61 thousand”, Kobolev said. “If Naftogaz had failed to win over Gazprom, then Ukraine would suffer losses, $ 94.7 billion more, each Ukrainian family – more than UAH 177 thousand”, he added.
Recall that on February 28, 2018, the Stockholm Arbitration passed a final decision in a dispute between Gazprom and Naftogaz of Ukraine within the framework of a gas transit contract through the territory of Ukraine.
