The Kobzar look-alike contest was held in Lviv region to mark the birthday of Taras Shevchenko. The aim is simple – to show that the author is always among us. Everybody who felt a visual similarity to a distinguished Ukrainian artist and poet could take part in the contest. 18 pretenders tried their power to be called the Shevchenko look-alike. By a vote, Vasyl Melnyk took the first place, ‘silver of Shevchenko’ got Andrii Homar, and the third place was taken by Taras Zilinskyi.
