Miners at the mine “Lisova” in the Lviv region staged a protest under the ground. They demand to pay off the salary debt since miners were paid 48% in October, Hromadske reports.
As for December 11, there are 97 miners underground, 45 of them protest already the second day.
The first miners (45 employees) refused to go to the surface, 78 miners of the 3rd shift joined them later. According to Mykhaylo Volynets, chairman of the Independent Union of Miners of Ukraine, the 4th shift of miners blocked the administration’s control and did not allow it to go underground.
The Independent Trade Union of Miners accuses Igor Nasalik, a Minister of Energy and Coal Industry, for the protests.
