The Department of Public Security, headed by Valeriy Heletey, has classified documents regarding the land plot of Petro Poroshenko in the historic part of Kyiv, where a national monument was destroyed. This is stated in the investigation of Skhemy (a joint project of Radio Liberty and UA: First).
Journalists note that earlier investigations have established that during the construction works on Poroshenko’s land plot in Tsarskoye village a monument – part of the Oleksiy’s lunette bastion of the Kyiv fortress was destroyed.
However, despite the fact of a criminal offense, the police closed the proceedings on the fourth month of Poroshenko’s presidency – in 2014.
And in the fall of 2018, when the Skhemy journalists began to officially request permits for construction on this site, the Department of Homeland Security removed this information from at least three different government agencies. The data on Poroshenko’s construction works in the historical part of the capital was attributed to official and state secrets.
