Agony and ecstasy

The closer to the elections, the more presidential candidates realize that they compete not just for the presidency but also for the position of commander-in-chief of the army. And after this realization, irresistible desire to show off one’s strategic skills appear.

And since there are no such skills, the answers to the question of how to end the war don’t go far from the promises about the cheap gas.

“Samopomich” thinks that the war can be ended by force. O. Vikul didn’t run away too far because he told that the war could be put to an end if there was “a formula of peace.” The components of this formula, perhaps, are hidden deeply in Vikul’s pocket because the joint resolution of the United Nations and the Russian Federation and the introduction of peacekeepers don’t depend on Ukraine, but only on Putin.

The journalists also joined the presidential candidates: D. Gordon voiced one of his chief’s opinion about the fact that “the war in Donbas could be ended in a week if Russia fulfilled a couple of basic terms – the withdrawal of troops, their henchmen and militant leaders.”

Well, such a deep thought shouldn’t have been voiced since it’s obvious to everyone.

Our peerless strategist A. Hrytsenko stunned with even more ingenious claim, “first of all, the control over the state border must be renewed.”

How not to rejoice here? We finally know what to do. But only don’t know how.

How to reduce gas prices by four? How to battle gravitation and move faster? How to stop epidemics?

We also don’t have answers to all these. Same as Hrytsenko except for his empty verbiage. To renew the control over the border, we have no choice but to fall on the knees, as Zelensky said, and bow lamenting “Father, forgive us!”.

Although there is another option: to take the offensive, to gave up several thousand of our soldiers, to get a powerful counteroffensive and lose half of the country.

Until we agree that Crimea is no longer ours, Putin won’t go away from Donbas.

The only thing is that the Russians, after losing our elections, will realize that there is no sense to continue this aggression which beats them themselves with sanctions.

That is why the elections topic is a top trending topic on Russian channels. Tens of dozens “experts” pop up on this or that show and impress with their foolishness. Some old mushrooms leisurely talk about the blitzkrieg in the coming days. “If we recognize Ukraine a Nazi country so we have to do the same our grandfathers had done!”

The round of applause.

Stepan Bandera is a ubiquitous participant of these shows. They can’t do without mentioning him. “This is their symbol! The symbol of this junta!”

Sure thing we have plenty of symbols! While the Russians are totally deprived of any national symbols. They don’t have any national anthem, along which they would sing, not only silently watch when it is performed, there is no flag or coat of arms, there are no national clothes that could be worn out of the stage, but on any day – whether for a walk or for work. There are no national heroes because they are all fake like Susanin.

When there was no TV, the Moscowians cursed Vyhovsky, Mazepa, and Petliura. Now Shukhevych joined Bandera. Once in while some “expert” pops up with another bullshit and the audience listens in to him, hanging on every word. And it suddenly learns that Shukhevych himself killed the minister Pieracki with “three shots in the back of the head”.

And no matter that it wasn’t Shukhevych but Hryhoriy Matseyko and not with the shots in the back of the head…

But shows on individual Ukrainian channels also impress. If Russia TV at least creates the impression of balanced disputes, inviting people with different point of views who, however, are muffled by the collective chorus yells, we don’t care too much about it. Especially on the Minuses where a funny gangsta-company of candidates is invited to “Pravo Na Vladu” which gaily pounded one P. Poroshenko in a mortar. Who isn’t present. Why do they need discussion? Their favorite game has only one gate.

In the end, some of the journalists’ brakes failed and they like troublemakers began to publish speeches about bribed porokhobots (Petro Poroshenko’s supporters, esp. in social networks – ED) who get in our ways.

That is yuliabots (Yulia Tymoshenko’s supporters – ED) and zelenbots (Volodymyr Zelensky’s supporters – ED) are not at all bribed, sincere fans are ready to tear apart a porokhobot.

The same one-gate game is exercised by Poroshenko on Espresso. Several of their broadcasts turned out to be quite resonant, after which Maryna Danyluk-Yermolayeva was even named Ukrainian Skabeyeva.

Fantastic four – Bohdan Butkevych, Myroslava Barchuk, Serhiy Rudenko and aforementioned Maryna – put a special effort to the battle against the president’s fans. Broadcasts with their participation are just phenomenal. And it isn’t a surprise that they stirred the wave of indignation. After that B. Butkevych took a huge dump of nonsense about porokhobots whom he sees like the factory of trolls named after Pryhozhyn.

Had read his cry of the grievous soul, I forced myself to read separate broadcasts on which the members of this played TV party chomped the last events. Needless to say that none of them speaks Ukrainian. Just imagine that there is some presenter on the Russia-TV who spoke Russian like Lukashenko with hard “ch” or put stresses incorrectly. And our fighters against porokhobots were just whating and whying like canaries.

Objective and independent Myroslava Barchuk thinks “when the president Poroshenko goes on religious tours around the regions… for me, this is the Russian Orthodox tradition. And that is why this is another challenge for the new Ukrainian church”.

Rudenko agreed that “Mr. Petro has to step back, he completed his mission (???). Politics has to go… If the commander-in-chief had seen that Ukraine needed martial law… then, he must bid farewell after it came to an end.”

I listened to this and couldn’t believe my own ears. So, is it okay when other candidates travel around Ukraine except for the acting president? Where aback should the president step? In what bushes should he hide not to irritate our independent undear candidates? And why does the acting president arises nothing but negative emotions? “Mr. Petro purposely waited for a moment to announce his ambitions… he certainly can drag doubtful victories to his side”…

Butkevych also supported these deep thoughts and said that religion should be separated from the state. Meanwhile, he hopes that SBU will keep an eye at the activity of the church and gives an example when a Donetsk priest wasn’t allowed to the occupied territory. That is, it would be desirable for the church to be separated and, at the same time, not separated, because the SBU should guard the interests of the state. And needless to wonder: he also believes that the trips of the president resemble the Russian version.

It’s a pity that none of them has explained which Russian version is about because Russia has no other Tomos besides the one from Stalin.

And same BB is afraid of introducing Christian ethics and the beginning of the fight against gay men. Understanding his concern, I myself don’t see anything bad in Christian ethics. And the nonsense about a “secular state” can only be said by the immortal Komsomol because the secular state was made by the Bolsheviks, and it lasted not so long, but we have been Christians for centuries.

Then the four imagined themselves military strategists and started pouring the tips how the martial law has to look: “if we had already imposed this martial law,” Rudenko said, “then each Ukrainian should have felt it.”

Of course, it’s a shame that such fellows hadn’t felt it otherwise we wouldn’t have as many different kotsabs (Ruslan Kotsaba is a Ukrainian opposition journalist – ED) as rabbits.

Not surprisingly, the four of them came up with the conclusion that we have to make a choice between “bad and even worse”. But there is an exit! Because we have a charismatic leader! And who would you think about? This is a professional traitor Serhiy Rudenko.

After this, I pulled my head out of the TV and dumped into the bucket with cold water.

Still, it is more comfortable in the water than in the TV.
