The US government is preparing to impose sanctions against companies involved in the construction of the Russian gas pipeline bypassing Ukraine – Nord Stream-2.
In particular, new sanctions will apply to the companies that are laying pipelines in the Baltic Sea, as well as companies that finance this project. It is noted that the decision to sanction the Russian gas pipeline, which Germany actively supports, could further aggravate the relations between Berlin and Washington.
On January 9, it became known that the United States plans to impose economic sanctions against the largest contractor companies that are building the Russian pipeline Nord Stream-2. In particular, against the Swiss company Allseas, which owns ships that can lay a gas pipeline at a great depth.
