And the bulletin is getting shorter and shorter. Ex-regional Yevhen Murayev withdrew his candidacy in favor of… another former representative of the Party of Regions Oleksandr Vilkul. What was running through the minds of both politicians, taking this decision? Find out in reactions from The DUMKA.
As the former presidential candidate Yevhen Murayev has explained (the very one who called the Ukrainian director Oleh Sentsov a terrorist), he has always been a supporter of the association and offered it from the very beginning. Now “the opposition” will be headed by Vilkul, and Murayev himself will be the leader of the united party in the parliamentary elections. Well, of course, “the power of bastards” and this kinda of stuff.
Olexandr Vilkul, instead, was more concise, expressing confidence that Murayev will strengthen his team. Uh-huh. The only thing that seems to be taking into account is that the union is not always an addition of one electorate to another.
Olha Len, a blogger, assumed (jokingly or not) this, adding that Murayev’s votes can go… to Zelensky. Obviously, the author appeals to the results of a recent poll by the “Rating” group, which show that Zelensky’s electorate, in case of non-participation of his candidate, will vote for Murayev in the overwhelming majority. However, in this survey, such construction didn’t work out.
Political scientist Oleh Voloshyn, instead, criticized Murayev, noting that he is “not a fighter”, but a person who can “promote” something and sell it profitably. Like, a businessman, not a politician.
According to political expert Oleksii Minakov, a new union of candidates will compete for the electorate of the south and east with another ex-regional – Yurii Boyko.
Public figure and blogger Andrii Smolii is convinced that now the withdrawal of candidates means no more than the ability of some politicians to say that “the candidates withdraw in their favor.”
Political scientist Mykola Spiridonov, on the contrary, positively evaluated the withdrawal of Murayev, noting that such an association gives a chance to Vilkul in the second round. It seems that the expert isn’t guided by the numerous polls.
The blogger and politician Vitalii Chepynoga looked at the new “union” with humor. He says that he hasn’t seen such powerful unions for a long time… Since the time of today’s withdrawal of Dobrodomov in favor of Hrytsenko.
Or the union can be seen this way. Only with humor, please.
And finally, about the bulletin. Now it counts 39 surnames. If you don’t know how to choose – look in the section Candidates on The DUMKA. By the way, about Vilkul, who “strengthened” Murayev, you can also read there.
