According to the head of “Ukravtodor”, the cost of constructing a concession road in Ukraine will be no more than 5-6 million euros per kilometer. This was announced in an interview with UNIAN Head of “Ukravtodor” Slavomyr Novak, writes UNIAN.
“We have to take European prices as a benchmark. But still, in Ukraine, it will be a little cheaper. The average cost of the construction of an autobahn in Europe is 10 million euros per kilometer. In Ukraine, I think, it will be no more than 5-6 million euros per kilometer. Therefore, the fare will not be more than 7-10 euro cents per kilometer,” he said.
As UNIAN reported, in June 2018, Minister of Infrastructure Volodymyr Omelyan said that the tender for the construction of the first toll road along the Lviv-Krakovets route, which is being sought since 2015, will be announced by the end of this year. However, in 2019, the acting Head of “Ukravtodor” Novak stated that the construction of the first toll road from Lviv to Krakow (Poland) will begin in 2020.
