The investigation established 66 executors suspected of killing activists on the Maidan, 46 of which fled to Russia, the rest are in custody. On this February 20, on the 5th anniversary of the death of the Heavenly Hundred, Prosecutor General Yurii Lutsenko wrote about it on Facebook.
According to him, the GPU in 2019 “actually completed” the investigation of those who gave the criminal orders that led to the murders and wounds on the Maidan.
The Attorney General said that the commission of experts examined 988 volumes of investigation materials and concluded that the death and wounds of the participants of the Maidan “are the root cause” of the decisions and actions of the former president Viktor Yanukovych.
