Training will take place in the Odesa, Mykolaiv and Kherson regions and in the north-western part of the Black Sea.
This year, the Sea Breeze 2019 will provide missions for NATO standards at sea, land, air and underwater.
In the marine component, artillery fire, landing missions, and many other exercises are planned, the essence of which is not disclosed, because the current “free play” regime, in which sudden missions will come from the multinational headquarters of exercises, remains relevant.
Certain innovation of this year’s exercises will be the development of the river element. According to the legend, the enemy elements will try to block the access to the sea from the largest waterway in Europe – the Danube River.
The Marine Guard’s ship-to-boat will receive the task of ensuring the transport of civilian ships by the river and their free pass through the mouth of the Danube to the Black Sea.
