The passing week, was really fierce for Ukraine: a deputy from the Radical Party who took a bribe on the video managed to dismiss the minister who refused to take the bribe. He did it with the help of the most honest District Administrative Court, while Zelensky surpassed his competitors in the election ratings almost by twice. At least Manger (a person of interest in the investigation of the murder of Kateryna Handziuk) was dismissed from the post of the chairman of the regional council of Kherson. And there were also many other events that, like a spiral, spin around the elections. More about the main events of the week – in the traditional digest of DUMKA.
For the visual accompaniment of the text, works from the Festival of Young Ukrainian Artists in Mystetskyi Arsenal of 2017 were chosen. Ukrainian artists under the age of 35 were invited to participate in the competition. During the week of battles, the court returned power to Minister of Health Ulana Suprun.
“Today, in the morning, I started to sign documents, medications are sent to the regions, I sign documents on patients’ treatment abroad. I feel your support and understand, that you want our medical reform to continue,” she said.
But don’t get excited too soon: on February 15, the consideration of the merits of the Mosiychuk’s claim will begin. The radical deputy states, that Ulana Suprun cannot work because of the dual citizenship and that the term of her “performance of duties” lasting for one month has finished.
It is interesting that the lawsuit was actually filed by Ihor Mosiychuk. On September 17, 2015, the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine released several video episodes, which showed the delivery of the bribe to a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Ihor Mosiychuk (Oleh Lyashko’s Radical Party). The video was demonstrated during a session of the parliament at the suggestion of the Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin. The video shows several episodes and meetings with an unknown person who asked Mosiychuk to settle down some issues. Mosiychuk mentioned prices for the necessary parliamentary inquiries and appeals. In particular, one appeal costs 10-15 thousand dollars, one inquiry – 3-5 thousand dollars.
Mosiychuk did not get any punishment, but he was able to block the ministry’s work for a week. What an interesting period of time.
Anti-Corruption Center has given an explanatory note to the draft resolution of the People’s Deputy Ihor Mosiychuk regarding “the appropriation of powers of the Minister by Ulana Suprun” and found out that it was prepared on the Oleksandr Dolzhenkov’s computer who is a people’s deputy from the Opposition Block.
“But I swear that I wrote this explanatory note on my own, using Mosiychuk’s computer, and it may be imperfect, because he hurried me up, but it was not made by Akhmetov for sure,” the assistant of the People’s Deputy Tetiana Kavepeshchenko writes in social media.
Mosiychuk has already threatened with self-immolation in order to defend his honor. Well, an interesting idea, as people say: “we’ll see”.
Oh really? The representatives of the Prosecutor General’s office of Ukraine announced a suspicion in organizing the murder to the head of the Kherson Regional Council Vladyslav Manger. The suspicion was personally handed over by the Deputy of the Prosecutor General, Yuriy Stolyarchuk. Kherson “boyar” is accused of causing death to another person (Kateryna Handziuk), which was committed with lucrative impulse, on order, with extreme brutality, by prior collusion of a group of people.
Until the last moment he was a part of the Kherson Batkivshchyna, just recently he stopped his membership in the party. People say that he was an extremely important financial flow for Yulia Tymoshenko and that’s why she couldn’t get rid of the toxic politician.
It is interesting, that two politicians from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc, Gordeev and Ryshchuk, whom journalists also suspect of the murder, have not got any suspicion. The latter, by the way, temporarily disengage himself from the office for the time of the investigation of the case of Handziuk’s murder. As for his boss, Andriy Gordeev approved the temporary removal of Ryshchuk but said no word about himself.
The trial of Manger has traditionally looked like a performance in a circus. At first, lawyers asked for 4 hours of break, because some still didn’t get to Kyiv, and then they wanted a break because not everyone had time to read the case papers.
During the hearing on the choice of a preventive measure to the head of the Kherson Regional Council, Vladyslav Manger stated that he was “designated to be a murderer”. He expressed his desire to go through a polygraph detector in order to prove his innocence. Manger did not mention his likely “partners in crime” Andriy Gordeev and Yevhen Ryshchuk but instead voiced a new name it was SBU General Danylo Dotsenko.
“Dotsenko personally created several criminal organizations in the region which were involved in a forest clearing, racketeering, and blackmail. They were repeatedly detained by the police, but after Dotsenko’s personal intervention they were set free. That was also the reason for the conflict between the SBU and the police in the Kherson oblast, and this conflict was created by Danylo Dotsenko. I think that Danylo Dotsenko has organized an attack on Kateryna Handziuk to discredit police,” Manger said.
It seems that on the eve of the elections we will hear a lot of interesting news from this trial. But you do not need any popcorn – it’s not a show, but a picture of Bosch with dirt and monsters. And we have to fight with them.
Kyiv International Institute of Sociology has published new “presidential” ratings. The survey was conducted from January 31 to February 10. The results are very eloquent.
Volodymyr Zelensky left all his competitors behind – 26.9% of Ukrainians willing to vote for him. The second place is held by the incumbent president, Petro Poroshenko (17.7%), followed by the leader of Batkivshchyna, Yulia Tymoshenko (15.8%). 9.8% are ready to support Yuriy Boyko, 6.6% – Oleh Lyashko, 6.1% – Anatoliy Hrytsenko.
In the second round, according to the results of this poll, Zelensky will confidently win any competitor.
The reasons why people are ready to vote for Zelensky: 54.4% of people are ready to vote for a showman because he is not a representative of the operating system and is playing on a request for new faces. 29.8% of the polled believe in the honesty of Zelensky and his independence from the oligarchs (seriously, they really think so), 24.9% like his views and program (for everything good against everything bad).
After the publication of these ratings, a real dirty campaign against Volodymyr Zelensky has begun. During his performances ATO veterans, activists ask him inconvenient questions, the showman is denied in the right to rent a room (just as Putin was playing with Navalny), and Zelensky’s team speaks of SBU’s surveillance.
However, Kolomoyskyi is right there!
Journalist of the 1 + 1 TV channel Oleksandr Dubynskyi published WhatsUp screenshots with chats of President’s press secretary Sviatoslav Tseholko and deputies from Solidarity. The journalist assures that he has received these screenshots because Tseholko “shared them with a friend”.
There are a lot of grammar mistakes, so there are doubts that this was Tseholko (an experienced journalist). However, according to the telegram-channel The Newsroom those chats are worth of attention.
“The first case is the holding of a press conference in Lviv by ATO veterans, who had previously provoked Zelensky. From the correspondence with the deputy of the Solidarity, Andrii Antonyshchak, it becomes clear that the list of participants in this press conferences and their thesis for speeches are agreed with the Presidential Administration. Among other things, according to the plan of the PA, the ATO veterans had to offer a drug test to Zelensky once again, because last time “drugs topic” was well accepted.
The second case is a campaign to ban “Sluha Narodu “. The Committee of Voters of Ukraine, which is supervised by Oleksandr Chernenko, a deputy from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc, as it turned out, after reading his correspondence, does not write texts on the website by the hands of the editors but receives them in the finished form from the Presidential Administration. In addition to the typed messages, this fragment also has some voice messages.
“There are some ideas about how to close the show. I think we will sic the public as soon as this series comes out because they cannot react to plans, they need facts. The CEC will not make the initiative, but if they have an appeal, they will respond accordingly. Well, the National Council (on TV and radio broadcasting – Ed.) Should be connected… maybe before the premiere the National Council should carry out an expert examination (for the recognition of the TV series as an election campaign – Ed.),” says a man with a voice very similar to Chernenko ’s. There is also information that “the lawyers are preparing a justification why the series is not an agitation.”
We remind that the premiere of the new season of the serial ” Sluha Narodu” is scheduled for March of this year. That once again will add Zelensky electoral points directly on the eve of the elections,” the editors of the channel write.
