Here the new poll results were popped up. So, according to the KIIS (Kyiv International Institute of Sociology), the Razumkov Center and SOCIS, Volodymyr Zelensky became the leader in the presidential race. The second place was taken by Petro Poroshenko, but the leader of previous polls, Yulia Tymoshenko, fell into the third position. Read more in the reactions from DUMKA.
Political strategist Oleksandr Holobutskyi noted that the latest ratings show that Anatoliy Hrytsenko finally dropped out of the leaders’ top, but Volodymyr Zelensky, at such a pace, can really convince a sufficient number of voters that he could become the president.
However, according to the expert, this is a rather alarming sign. Moreover, voters recognize that Zelensky does not understand the economy, is unable to solve the problems of the population’s deterioration and will not master the protection of the territories of Ukraine, nor will he fight corruption. Therefore, one of the tasks of politicians in the upcoming months may be the liquidation of the myth about the “servant of the people”, which, in fact, brings votes of the comedian.
Roman Vybranovsky, an expert in the field of media and communications, noted that Zelensky led the rating thanks to television. However, everything is interconnected: television is as it is now thanks to the oligarchs, and they got super-profits through the closed eyes of other leaders of the presidential races. Karma, in a word.
However, MP Serhiy Leshchenko noted that the new leader of the race is not only a product of television technology but the result of the fact that society is tired of old people and has a request for new leaders.
Blogger Sergey Naumovich was not surprised by the new ratings. He suggested that the latest figures may not be the maximum of Volodymyr Zelensky. According to the author, the young part of the electorate, which usually does not come to the polls, can still vote for the comedian.
Political analyst and blogger Pavlo Nuss, in his turn, assured readers that the new ratings indicate that Poroshenko can get into the second round of elections… with Kolomoiskyi, who will be represented by Zelensky. At the same time, Nuss stressed that Poroshenko is now just beginning a campaign, his rating is growing, while Yulia Tymoshenko’s ratings are in stagnation.
Ruslan Rokhov, founder and head of the School of Mayors, also noted that Zelensky and Poroshenko began to show an increase in ratings. However, it is obvious that there was a flow of votes from Vakarchuk to the leader of the “95th Kvartal”. Also, those, who are against everybody, are planning to vote for Zelensky. According to the rating of Tymoshenko, Rokhov stressed that decline hasn’t started today. And given that the main competitors of the candidate have just begun their campaign, Yuliya Tymoshenko risks not to get into the second round at all.
As for Yurii Boyko, according to the author, he will also lose votes, since Vilkul entered the game. But the only one, who can intervene in competition with Poroshenko and Tymoshenko, according to Rokhov, is Anatoliy Hrytsenko. Unless, of course, all conditionally democratic opposition forces unite around him.
Journalist Ostap Yarysh in his turn drew attention to the comments on the news with ratings, where people are outraged that they… have not been asked. And you can understand this reaction: it is simply impossible to believe in the first place of Zelensky. Personally, the author of the new survey results is not surprising, because Zelensky… plays the role of a populist, whose high performance in the elections we have already seen in the other countries.
The politician Taras Chornovil noted that not everything in the results of the survey is directly related to the real expression of the people’s will, therefore, in order not to get into a simple emotional puddle, you just need to assess in what way respondents perceive that or another proposed candidate. And since for the most people the first three positions are interesting, Chornovil followed them and tried to comment on everything. The results are on the screenshots.
However, the people’s deputy Volodymyr Ariev commented on the results rather briefly, noting that to choose the “Russian-oriented comedian actor” as the president ‒ this is the same as becoming a voluntary participant in the performance. And, according to the deputy, it will be a Russian soap-opera where everyone dies.
