Ulana Suprun has urged citizens to vaccinate against measles. “We will not declare an epidemic. This is only a word without any significant impact. In fact, it is more important to expand a bigger vaccination campaign and access to vaccines,” acting Minister of Healthcare Ulana Suprun told journalists after the government meeting on Wednesday, a UNIAN correspondent reported.
The Ministry of Healthcare earlier reported that five people had already died of measles in Ukraine in 2019. Sixteen people died of measles in 2018. Measles is a highly contagious infectious disease caused by the measles virus.
