Naftogaz Chairman Andrii Kobolev said that by the end of 2019 he would give all his salaries to three charitable organizations, Hromadske reports.
On May 30, 2018, Naftogaz announced that 41 employees would be rewarded with $ 46 million prize for winning the Stockholm Arbitration. The amount that the company decided to pay to its employees is 1% of the amount of the winning arbitration ($ 4.6 billion) and will amount to $ 46.3 million. At the same time, 41 people who “directly or indirectly contributed to the achievement of the result” were decided to be given cash rewards.
Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman sent a letter to the Supervisory Board of Naftogaz: “I am concerned about this decision, therefore, I sent an official letter to Naftogaz’s Supervisory Board to review this decision”, said Groisman.
“That is why, in order to remove this issue from the agenda of the political debate, I decided to direct all income that I will receive at Naftogaz (wages and bonuses) from the beginning of February to the end of this year for charity”, the head of Naftogaz said.
