Currently, there are about 2 million labor migrants in Ukraine working in Poland. Of these, 1 million are officially employed, Hromadske reports.
“There are 2 million Ukrainians working in Poland. Of these, a million are legal workers, of which only 400 thousand pay a social contribution from, and the rest according to the same scheme as in Lithuania (without paying the ECV in Ukraine or in Poland – ed.). Those who generally work illegally are seasonal workers,” Andrii Reva said.
He noted that at present, Ukraine is practicing a scheme in which Ukrainian companies employing Ukrainians abroad register them to their state, and then “send on a business trip” abroad. Thus, these employees do not pay the ECV either in Ukraine or in the country where they moved to work.
On December 3, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland informed that about 2 million Ukrainians work on the territory of the country.
