The atmosphere gives us the thaw and even the high air temperature in the upcoming days so that we can prepare carefully for frost. After all, it will be on the Epiphany in the majority of regions of Ukraine that another cold chill will begin.
The air mass of the Arctic origin will debut at the beginning of the day with 0-4 degrees of frost, in the south and east there will be even warm weather, 0 +3 degrees. At night, on January 19th, it is expected 2-8 degrees below zero.

While we are not yet attracted by the frosty patterns of the coming cold snap, it is worth reminding that on January 18th, Ukraine will temporarily settle in the warm, during the day 0 +5 degrees.
However, then the Epiphany will pleasantly open the door to the Arctic air.
Already on January 20th, the frosts will increase by 2-5 degrees, and at the beginning of next week, the temperature will be -8 -14 degrees in the night, in the north and north-east -12-18 degrees, possibly 20 degrees below zero.
In the afternoon hours, the first half of the week will show 5-12 degrees below zero.
On January 21, warmer weather is expected in the southern and eastern parts of the country, about zero, and in the afternoon and with insignificant “pluses”.
The ice will immediately strengthen on the roads of Ukraine as a result of lowering the temperature of the air.
Get ready for a cold in advance; do not give a chance to any virus or cold.
On January 18th-19th, on the Hungry Kutya Day (Epiphany’s Eve – translator’s note) and the Epiphany, no significant rainfall in Ukraine is expected.
Nevertheless, along the 20th-22nd of January, the atmospheric fronts will cross Ukraine, which will bring snow and wind, and sometimes blizzards. In the extreme south and south-east, snow will change into wet snow and even in the rain, sometimes wet snow will stick.
In Kyiv, on January 18, warm weather is expected with daytime air temperatures of +1 +3 degrees. Significant precipitation is unlikely, only in some areas light snow will be falling.
On the Epiphany, a cooling will begin in the capital, at night down to -5 -7 degrees, and in the daytime up to -2 -4 degrees. Dry weather will prevail.
On Sunday and in the first half of the next week the cooling will increase, the minimum temperature will be -8 -13 degrees, the maximum -4 -9 degrees.
Snow in Kyiv is the most likely on January 21st.
As can be seen from the forecast, winter is not going to give in to our hints of the coming spring and the conversations that half of winter is behind and it’s time to gradually give up positions.
