The Cabinet of Ministers ordered to create a new Odesa National Medical University based on the Odesa National Medical University, on which the agency announced the raider takeover on December 10. The corresponding order has already been published on the Cabinet website, Ukrainska Pravda writes.
“To approve the proposal of the Ministry of Healthcare to establish the National Odesa Medical University, reorganizing the Odesa National Medical University and the Crimea Medical Academy named after S.I. Georgievsky, by reorganizing the merger, and reorganizing it within the limits of the budget allocations foreseen by the ministry”, is written in the document.
They stressed that the students of Odesa National Medical University and the Crimea Medical Academy named after S.I. Georgievsky will continue their studies at the National Odesa Medical University. That is, the corresponding reorganization will not affect the work process for students of both universities.
On December 10, the Ministry of Healthcare announced that unknown persons had seized the building of the Odesa National Medical University by force and did not let the workers in.
