The International Monetary Fund has transferred Ukraine’s first tranche in the framework of a new $ 1.4 billion stand-by credit program. Funds are already allocated to international currency reserves, reports Hromadske.

«Due to the receipt of 1 billion special drawing rights (about 1.4 billion dollars) from the Fund, Ukraine’s international reserves have grown to 20.1 billion USD as of December 21, 2018,» informs the NBU.

It notes that due to the transfer of the IMF tranche, the volume of international foreign exchange reserves in Ukraine reached the maximum value of $ 20.1 billion over the past 5 years. Last time, this level of international reserves was fixed in January 2014.
