Ukraine offers Russia to exchange hostages in the format 22 to 22 and 79 to 19 on January 5.
This was announced by vice-speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Iryna Gerashchenko in Facebook, writes Ukrainska Pravda.

“We propose to release the detainees in formats 22-22 and 72-19 on January 5, 2019, so that 150 people met Christmas at home, could go with their families to the Church and pray for peace,” she wrote. Gerashchenko specified that it was a question of exchanging 22 Russians detained and convicted in Ukraine for 22 political prisoners in the Kremlin, as well as the transfer of ORDLOs of 72 separatists in exchange for 19 hostages in the occupied territories.

The Russian Presidential Press Secretary, Dmitry Peskov, in his turn, said that the Kremlin is ready to exchange convicts with Kyiv on the principle of “everyone at everyone,” but the approaches of the two countries to the implementation of this don’t coincide.
