Russian President Vladimir Putin at an annual press conference said that the issue of the exchange of Ukrainian sailors could be considered only after the completion of the criminal case, reports Hromadske.
“As for the future of Ukrainian servicemen. They were sent and thought that one of them would perish, in fact. I see great discontent in the ruling circles because nobody died. It was hoped that one of them would perish, but, thank God, this didn’t happen. The investigation is ongoing. After the criminal investigation it will be clear what to do with them next,” said Putin.
Answering the following question, which also concerned Ukraine, the President of Russia once again noted: “I said that these issues (the exchange of Ukrainian sailors – ed.) Could be resolved after the completion of the criminal case,” Putin said.
