The National Bank filed a lawsuit in Switzerland against Igor Kolomoisky, an ex-shareholder of Privatbank, Ukrainska Pravda reports.

The lawsuit is filed at the First Instance of the Court of the Republic and the Canton of Geneva for a total of UAH 6.64 billion.

“The lawsuit is filed at the place of residence of the ex-shareholders of the bank in order to recover from Igor Kolomoisky debt as a financial guarantor to the National Bank on personal bills issued in 2016 under five agreements on granting loans to refinance the bank,” told the NBU.

Litigation between Privatbank and its ex-shareholders took place in the UK. In November 2018, the High Court of London stated that it was not liable for the Privatbank case of its former owners, Igor Kolomoisky and Gennady Bogolyubov.

As reported, a detective agency Kroll according to the results of the audit of Privatbank confirmed that the financial institution before its nationalization at the end of 2016 was the object of large-scale and coordinated fraudulent actions, which led to losses at least of 5.5 billion dollars.
