President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in an interview with the US publication Fox News openly appealed to Russian President Vladimir Putin and called the war an attack by Russian troops on Ukrainian sailors in the Azov Sea.
“Mr. Putin, this is an act of aggression, Mr. Putin, this is a war, it’s not a joke, not an incident, not a crisis, because your regular troops under the Russian flag attacked a Ukrainian military vessel in international waters, there is no other explanation”, Poroshenko said.
He also noted the resolute reaction of the world to this act of aggression. “But these statements are just words, and in response to Putin’s actions, we need to act”, Poroshenko added.
