At the embassy of the Russian Federation in Kyiv, activists held an action “Putin guilty of Ilovaysk tragedy” and installed on the carriageway 366 white crosses to commemorate the victims of the Ilovaysk tragedy. This is reported by the Ukrainska Pravda.
Activists brought a scarecrow with the mask of the Russian president, wrapped in flags of so-called self-proclaimed “republics” in occupied territories. In the summer of 2014, Russian intelligence officers invaded Ukraine; in late August, Russian troops surrounded Ukrainian fighters near Ilovajsk. The Ukrainian units put out the demands of the exit from the ring, but on August 29 Russian soldiers shot the Ukrainian heavyweight troops. At least 366 people were killed, 158 others are missing.
