President of the United States Donald Trump sent a congratulatory message on the occasion of the Independence Day of Ukraine to President Petro Poroshenko, in which he stressed that our country has something to be proud of for the past 4 years. “On behalf of the people of America, I want to congratulate you and the people of Ukraine on the 27th anniversary of your independence, which you celebrate on August 24. The people of Ukraine have something to be proud of: for four years Ukraine has bravely opposed Russian aggression and is a blessed vibrant civil society, a growing economy and the Armed Forces that are more powerful than ever,” Trump said. The US president said: “Please remember that the United States will always stand alongside Ukraine, at a time when it defends its sovereignty and territorial integrity within internationally recognized borders.”
