The Russian Federal Security Service arrested a Ukrainian citizen that allegedly tried to bring weapons from the mainland to the annexed Crimea. According to TASS, referring to the FSB border control in the captured Crimea, the incident occurred at the Armyansk motorway checkpoint.
“After checking the documents for the right to cross the state border of Russia, the owner of the Ford provided its transport for the security check, during which, under the driver’s seat, the border guards had found a gun of an unknown model, a magazine, and eight bullets of a 9 mm caliber to it,” the report said.
“The presence of forbidden through the state border items in the car was explained by the woman that the weapon belongs to her father, he carried it with him for self-defense,” stated in the press service of the administration.
