Russian President Vladimir Putin said Russia would respond “extremely negatively” if Ukraine or Georgia join NATO. He said this in an interview with Fox News.
“For us, this is a direct and immediate threat to national security. The movement of NATO’s infrastructure to our borders will be a threat, and… the reaction will be extremely negative,” Putin said.
