The thing, which was so scary to someone and awaited by the others, have happen. The March of Equality-2018 took place in Kyiv. Which MP made more selfies and how event was evaluated by its opponents and supporters – in reactions from DUMKA.

In order not to pass immediately go to the bunch of photos with MP Serhiy Leshchenko, let’s start with the post by political expert Oleksiy Minakov. In his opinion, our country is still traditionalist one, because even the president instead of the post on successful performance of the March of Equality, congratulated Ukrainians on the Day of the Father. Well, dear SMM team of Mr. Poroshenko, you’ve failed a little bit to satisfy everybody and to gather all the likes.

Getting closer to the body of the action, I must share the post by journalist and former politician Eugene Leshan. Just begging you, read it to the end, because I know how you, non-Ukrainian speakers, read those screenshots.

And here we have writer and journalist Mark Livin, who’s convinced that Ukrainians in their majority do not understand the words “freedom”, “diversity” and “love”. So, ladies and gentlemen, it’s time to create the Ukrainian thesaurus by Mark Livin.

On the contrary, journalist, writer and blogger Zoya Kazandzhy named the March of Equality the test for adequacy. Unfortunately, so far, we are not able to pass this test, because according to the author of the post, Ukraine is a completely homophobic country. That’s how we live.

This topic was not omitted even by our editor-in-chief Svetlana Bondar. According to her, the most important thing is the person itself. Gender or other factors can’t be of any significance.

Have you seen news and angry posts about quantity of police that guarded participants of the March? Do you know what the thing is? The writer and interpreter Ostap Ukrainets, noted that the primary cause is not the LGBT representatives, but “patriots” (please, just notice the quotes), who create a permanent threat environment and call for “safari”. Mr. Ostap, this is life, without a fly even Polish ointment would be useless.

But not everyone fell into extreme. Here we have our fashion blogger Maya Tulchinska. She explained that happiness – is not necessarily the domination of some people’s views over the others. I even liked this. And no, nobody paid me for it. In general, I’m review-volunteer, an independent leader of thoughts. I think you got me.

You think that here everything will be pro-March, for action and all that kind of things. Well, I had to take someone for balance. For example, MP Ihor Lutsenko couldn’t stop himself from adding to “the March of equality” the word “so-called”. What didn’t he like? According to MP, the day of the March of Equality was the other day of police violence, the day when all the ideas of equality and principles of legality were vanished. Urgently, every newspaper should have this next on their front page.

There is only one problem: Whom you can trust? Because according to journalist Iryna Romaliyska, the police worked very smooth, including the “police of communication”. Also, journalist added that in the vanguard of the march were MPs Svitlana Zalishchuk and Serhiy Leshchenko, city council deputy Yuri Didovets and German politician Rebecca Harms. Betrayal-lovers will definitely know what to do the next days. My forecast is that Leshchenko won’t escape from their radar so easy.

And what about Mr. Serhiy himself? He wrote that being a Europe is not only a visa-free regime, but also tolerance and war on discrimination. So far so good, reading further. Oh, here it is. According to MP, he alongside with Svitlana Zalishchuk became the first deputies in the history of Ukraine who took part in the Pride in 2015. It’s like there is nothing to be claimed as a betrayal, but it’s hard not to praise yourself, right, Mr. Serhiy?

Here we have the first jokes about Leshchenko. Blogger, Mykola Voskalo asked why Serhiy put on the T-shirt with Taras Shevchenko’s portrait. In fact, the post is short, but trolling was quite good.

MP and ex-journalist Svetlana Zalishchuk added that this year on the march there were twice as many people compared to past events. By the way, according to the author of the post, the police also worked fine. Even Avakov got his gratitude. Hey, Mr. Lutsenko, where are you? Have you been to the march? Well, you’ve seen everything with your own eyes? In my head, this puzzle is not putting together. You say arbitrariness, while the other – good job. O time of post-truth. But the texts are burning!

Let’s finish, perhaps, with a post by Yuriy Didovets. According to him, the third year in a row he is the only deputy, who along with thousands of Kyiv citizens and guests, went to the March of Equality. He says that our friends and western allies understand the importance of freedom and openness, respect and guarantees of human rights in Ukraine. For example, Rebecca Harms.
