Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman initiates a “business debate” with the International Monetary Fund to discuss the expediency of further raising gas prices for the population.

“Yesterday, Naftogaz said it buys cheaper gas. We have a marginal price of UAH 8550 per 1,000 cubic meters, and they [Naftogaz] say that it is possible to avoid further increases [gas tariffs for the population],” Groisman said.

“Therefore, I will instruct Naftogaz, together with the Ministry of Finance, to begin a business debate with the International Monetary Fund, in order to resolve this issue, based on the proposal of Naftogaz,” the prime minister said.
