Ukraine will submit for the consideration of the meeting of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions the creation of a special group to assess the economic losses incurred by the annexation of Crimea by Russia and the occupation of certain areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. It is noted that the corresponding meeting of the organization will be held in September 2019 in Moscow.
“According to the UN, as a result of the conflict, about 13 thousand people were killed, about 30 thousand were wounded. More than 1.5 million Ukrainians from Crimea and Donbas became forced migrants. 7,2 % of the territory of Ukraine are occupied. How many houses were destroyed, how many our factories and other enterprises were taken away, how much our resources were used and what was the loss of the environment? Unfortunately, we have no answers on these and many other issues,” said Valerii Patskan, Chairman of the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine, during a meeting with foreign ambassadors.
