What everyone expected, looking at the results of regular sociological research, finally happened: Andriy Sadovyi withdrew his candidacy in favor of Anatoliy Hrytsenko. More details in the reactions from DUMKA.

In his address, Andriy Sadovyi noted that he doesn’t consider his ambitions as the main thing, and then he is ready to sacrifice them for the sake of achieving a greater goal.

At the same time, now the ex-presidential candidate noted that Hrytsenko’s support is not absolute: Sadovyi promises to offer the ex-minister of defense a draft agreement of support. There, the principles of combating corruption, the liberation of the occupied territories, electoral legislation and the purity of personnel appointments will be discussed

Anatoliy Hrytsenko, in his turn, thanked his colleague, recognizing that the decision was obviously very difficult, but honest, responsible, and state-oriented.

Svitlana Zalishchuk, the People’s Deputy and ex-journalist, expressed “respect” to Sadovyi and stressed that a single candidate, both at the presidential and at the parliamentary elections, can turn the running of the campaign.

But the People’s Deputy Mustafa Nayyem noted that more than a year had been lost, spent on unnecessary fuss, competition and rivalry. However, the politician is convinced: this is a good lesson for future parliamentary elections.

Journalist, publicist, and historian Vakhtang Kipiani, in his turn, assured that now there are only three candidates from the democratic camp, who understand what a state is, how to manage it, and don’t intend to trade with Moscow. These are Petro Poroshenko, Anatoliy Hrytsenko and Roman Bezsmertnyi.

But the journalist Olena Balaba suggested that the withdrawal of the candidature should be also expected from… Volodymyr Zelensky.

The People’s Deputy Boryslav Bereza believes that the merge of Sadovyi with Hrytsenko can not only completely change the ratings but also completely change the participants of the second round. In addition, the politician hinted at comments on the actions of Leshchenko, Nayyem and Zalishchuk, who recently announced their withdrawal from the BPP (Block of Petro Poroshenko) faction. However, Bereza is convinced: before March 31, we can become witnesses of several more political “migrations”.

Political analyst Petro Oleshchuk suggests that the new association can work at the expense of those, who have not yet decided: now these voters are getting an alternative. But as for the choice of Sadovyi, the expert believes that the mayor of Lviv just found a good way to get out of the game and earn some points. Hrytsenko, according to Oleshchuk, now has a great chance to improve his position. However, it is not clear yet if he uses this chance.

But public figure Oleksandr Ravchev predicted a possible prospect to see Hrytsenko and Zelensky in the second round. According to the author of the post, such an alternative is many times better than what was offered to us just a few months ago.

Military expert Svyatoslav Stetsenko in his article noted that he doesn’t criticize those, who are going to vote for Hrytsenko, Tymoshenko or Zelensky, considering them as opponents, for whom, maybe, we would have to vote in the second round.

The People’s Deputy Yehor Firsov also reacted positively to the union of politicians, adding that the ability to step over personal ambitions is a sign of maturity, wisdom, and adequacy.

But the journalist Vyacheslav Chechilo believes that Anatoliy Hrytsenko, even with the unification of forces, has no chance of reaching the second round. But the former defense minister will still get something: the author of the message suggests that Anatoliy Hrytsenko will receive some part of the votes from the top candidates. Most of all, Tymoshenko has to lose, because, according to the author, “she is going to the bottom anyway”. Poroshenko also will lose something, but Zelensky will lose less electorate because his voters will not fall for Hrytsenko. Therefore, according to the journalist, the second round with Zelensky and Poroshenko becomes real.

By the way, Dmytro Gnap promises to withdraw the candidacy in favor of Hrytsenko. But, according to the political expert Oleksii Minakov, this could go into the minus to the leader of the “Civil Opposition” because of the scandal with the ex-journalist.

Blogger Oleh Sharp was critical towards the union. According to him, Sadovyi’s voters are unlikely to switch to “boring” Hrytsenko.

Political analyst Pavlo Nuss also doesn’t believe in Hrytsenko’s chances for the second round, comparing politician associations with multiplying zeros.
