The largest number of takeoffs and landings The State Air Traffic Service Company secured nearly 98,000 airports at Boryspil airport last year. It is almost 11% more than in 2017, Hromadske reports.
The second most popular airport was “Kyiv” (Zhulyany) − almost 34 thousand flights, that is one third more than in the year before. Odesa closes the top three leaders − just under 16 thousand takeoffs and landings, which is 11% more than in 2017.
The least popular were the airports of Kryvyi Rih (710 flights it is + 13.8% to 2017), Uzhhorod (354 take-offs, one third more than last year) and Rivne (257 flights, almost 12% more than in 2017).
UIA remains the most popular company in Ukraine. Last year they carried out over 61 thousand flights, which is 7.8% more than last year. Their closest rival os Turkish Airlines with almost 30 thousand flights. They increased their flight frequency in 2018 by 8.6%, compared to 2017.
