The court’s decision to suspend Ulana Suprun from performing the duties of the Minister of Healthcare blocked the delivery of medicines to the amount of more than 633 million hryvnias to medical institutions. According to the Ministry of Healthcare, they can be delivered only under the signature of Suprun, Hromadske reports.

Only Ulana Suprun has the right to sign the orders for the distribution of medicines in the regions, the Ministry of Healthcare said. The decision of the District Administrative Court of Kyiv of February 5 prohibits her from signing the documents.

“Without the acting minister, work on the supply and sale of medicines is blocked,” the Ministry of Healthcare said.

The Ministry of Healthcare indicates that “Ukrvaktsina” and “Ukrmedpostach” state-owned warehouses are preparing drugs for procurement in 33 programs. In particular, vaccines against measles, mumps, rubella, and poliomyelitis.

“Under the conditions of the outbreak of measles, which is now in Ukraine, any delays in delivery of vaccines to the regions are unacceptable,” the ministry said.
