According to the operational data of the Center for Public Health of the Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine, in January 2019, 15,095 people – 6,364 adults and 8,731 children – suffered from measles in Ukraine. This is reported on the website of the ministry, UNIAN writes.
Thus, during the 5th week of 2019, 3,379 people – 1,499 adults and 1,880 children – fell ill with measles. “In general, from December 28, 2018, to February 1, 2019, measles in Ukraine affected 15,095 people – 6,364 adults and 8,731 children”, the report said.
“Vaccine is the only reliable protection against measles, especially if there is an outbreak of morbidity in your region,” the Ministry of Healthcare said.
