Independent journalists from various Ukrainian media said they viewed censorship as a sign of a contract with Zurab Alasania, chairman of the Board of Public Broadcasting, reports UNIAN.
In view of the new challenges, we are announcing the creation of an informal community of independent journalists called the Initiative “34”. (The Article of the Constitution of Ukraine guarantees everyone the right to freedom of thought and speech, to the free expression of their views and beliefs).
Recall, as reported by UNIAN, the Supervisory Board of the National Public Broadcasting Company of Ukraine has made a decision on the pre-term release of Zurab Alasania from the post of chairman of the Board of the Public Broadcasting. At present, the NSTU’s Supervisory Board does not comment on the reason for the early withdrawal of Alasania without a protocol, which will be published approximately in a week.
