The Ministry of Culture will change the name of the former Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate in the state register in case if this church refuses to do so on its own in the statutory term. This was stated in the UNIAN commentary by the People’s Deputy, the head of the Subcommittee on Freedom of Conscience and Religious Organizations of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Culture and Spirituality Viktor Yelensky.
“In the official register this name will be changed, the registration authority – the Ministry of Culture will change it,” it was an answer to the question what would happen if the former UOC-MP would not change the name in the statutory term.
