Winter this year shows us all its charms – blizzards, snowfalls, frosts. And now it decided to show itself from the other side. A thaw came in Ukraine along with the southern air flow. So that we don’t yearn for spring, the atmosphere raised the temperature to the March marks, organized puddles, rains, and icicles on rooftops and balconies.
In the near future, in most regions of Ukraine, this spring rehearsal will continue. The air temperature during the day will fluctuate within +1 +5 degrees. +4 +9 degrees maximum are expected in the southern part. And in the Crimea, even up to +8 +14 degrees. The air temperature in the eastern regions is assumed to be lower, slight frosts of up to -1 -4 degrees will be observed at night.
As a result of a long thaw in most regions of Ukraine, ice and snow will melt, ice puddles and snow porridge will be formed on the roads and sidewalks. Drivers and pedestrians should be as attentive as possible. Ice is thinning on rivers and lakes, so the fishermen better keep closer to the shore. Icicles hang from the roofs of the houses; you should carefully choose a place to park the car and not stay there for a long time.
Warm weather will be accompanied by periodic precipitation. Rain, sleet, and fog are expected. Fogs will degrade visibility up to 300-500 meters and lower, you need to be very careful and make sure that the headlights of the cars are on.
Such a warm humid cloudy air mass will reign in most regions of Ukraine until the next week. Cooling is expected during February 7-9, the air temperature will drop by 2-6 degrees.
In Kyiv, in the near future, wet, warm weather will dominate.
The temperature of the air at night will fluctuate around zero, and during the day, within +1 +4 degrees. Rain, fog, and sometimes sleet alternate periodically with dense clouds, a humid air mass will prevail. Fogs can provoke traffic complications with low visibility on roads.
In the capital, a decrease in air temperature and ice strengthening is expected on February 7-8. From frost to thaw, and again to cold, this is the nearest synoptic perspective.
The first spring rehearsals are stormy, but the main stage still belongs to winter. Therefore, we are closely monitoring the weather forecasts, so that no synoptic surprises will prevent us from communicating with February and meeting a tender March with good mood and health.
