It happened once again. The leader of the political party “Opposition Platform – For Life” and Russian president’s old pal Viktor Medvedchuk emphasized the necessity to… create “the autonomous region of Donbas” with anchoring this status in Constitution. He says that only Opposition platform can set peace in the occupied territories.
Let’s read again what Medvedchuk said and then look how laconically and accurately Evhen Mahda, an executive director of the Institute of World Politics, commented on this. According to him the federalization as a remedy for “Ukrainian crisis” is advised by Moscow since December 2013. I guess there’s no need for further explanation.
Blogger and journalist Serhiy Ivanov wrote practically the same. Yet with one small but important remark.
Perhaps, Medvedchuk simply ran out of fantasy. At least, a blogger Borys Nemyrovskyi has such a suggestion. For such scenarios are already so unrealistic, according to the author, that even… khm, the president of Russia has lost his faith in it. It turns out that a person is stuck in 2015.
