Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitriy Peskov said Russia and Ukraine are not in a state of war, and events in the Donbas are “provoked by people in power in Kyiv”, reports Interfax.

He said this, commenting on the words of the president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, who said on the eve that Ukraine needs a “cold peace” with the Russian Federation, in which it recognizes the sovereignty of Ukraine and its right for its own way. According to Peskov, “there is no war between Ukraine and Russia” but there is allegedly a “civil war in Ukraine”.
