Well, kittens, the least our neighbors wanted and the most we’ve ever aspired finally happened – Tomos is ours. From now on we have a completely independent own church. How the network reacted on the receipt of the document on autocephaly – in reaction from DUMKA.

But Verkhovna Rada Chairman Andriy Parubiy called Tomos the second Act proclaiming Ukraine’s independence. In addition, it’s quite symbolic that the Ukrainian Church received Tomos exactly for Christmas.
Are you still wondering how it happened that the Russian Orthodox Church was powerless and unable to prevent the Ukrainian church from gaining independence? Journalist Roman Skrypin explained everything quite simply by turning to Wikipedia. The point is that Bartholomew is just… a lawyer. He played “long”, so it was all perfectly calibrated and canonical, peerless and impeccable.
The MP Maxym Nefyodov believes that this event will definitely fall into the textbooks. However, apart from gaining independence from the “Russian world,” this is also a chance to renew the Orthodox Church.
Blogger Serhiy Naumovych tried to put his own emphasis on this topic. He believes that gaining of Tomos is a serious historical victory, and there is no sense in treating it skeptically. However, there are no problems with jokes on this topic, if humor doesn’t try to devaluate the victory. At the same time, when all passions will abate a bit, the blogger hopes that the talks will arise around the “unti-corruption Tomos”.
Mariana Savka, editor-in-chief of the “Old Lion Publishing House” and writer stressed that such events take place once in several centuries and therefore it’s a great gift to Ukrainians without exception – both believers and unbelievers. Because it’s about independence.
The MP Hanna Hopko wrote that we shouldn’t stop on this victory. To her convictions, we have to work obstinately for our next historical victories have a geopolitical significance.
The journalist Sonya Koshkina also shared her joy on the receipt of Tomos. We’re adults, so we won’t recollect the video where the same journalist said that there would never be any Tomos.
And what is happening in… neighborhood? According to Taras Kozak, almost everyone in the Russia Empire believes that the maternal Constantinople Orthodox Church is a dissenter; the world’s press lies; only Kyryl is wright. You know, the true believers of all countries must unite around the Russian Orthodox Church. Huh, wait and pray!
But according to the blogger Anton Hodza, it would be okay to give some Tomos to atheists because they struggle, poor things. These are also jokes, by the way.
And there’s another joke from the writer Andriy Kokotiukh. It’s somewhat strange, can you explain me in the comments where to laugh here?
Writer, psychologist and psychiatrist Borys Khersonskyi told how a year ago he had a conversation with a priest who belonged to the Ecumenical Patriarchate. Then he told the author that he couldn’t concelebrate with the priests of the Kyivan Patriarchate, because there should be one order in the church. Now, a year later, Mr. Khersonskyi’s interlocutor will concelebrate with Ukrainian priests, but with Russian – unlikely. That’s the way things are going.
And about jokes again. This is the commentary of the Minister of Infrastructure Volodymyr Omelyan. And I think it’s wonderful and somehow funny because of it. Anyway, it’s kind. Am I a porohobot (Poroshenko’s admirer) or what?
The MP Ihor Mosiuchuk also greeted Ukrainians on the receipt of Tomos. He says that for over 25 years, our Mother Church and its faithful, headed by Patriarch Filaret, have fought for this decision. We underwent the ordeal of non-recognition, curses, confrontation with the pro-Russian government, the police.
Apart from Tomos, we have a universal instruction on how to identify the “Russian world” and its agents “medvedchukivtsi”. At least, political scientist Victor Taran writes about it. They criticize the Tomos, using the following arguments: nothing happened, secular state, hype, civil war, etc. In a word, the theses of Russian propaganda popped up, because everybody already understands that the spiritual umbilical cord has been lost.
Journalist Yuriy Butusov called the receipt of Tomos “the best amulet against Russian demons”. In addition, Butusov is convinced that this is an achievement not only of the state but of the whole community. In addition, this is the achievement of the acting president and that’s why this victory will be associated with his name. The journalist stresses: it’s obvious that Poroshenko uses Tomos in the pre-election battle but he deserves it.
Serhiy Sternenko the public activist who was attacked three times last year also was happy to hear such news. But he’s convinced: all these achievements fade when you realize that in your country a person can be eliminated. And that’s why all victories aren’t full-fledged without punishment of those who killed Kateryna Handziuk and ordered the attacks on other activists.
And finally, a great posting from the writer and translator Andriy Lyubka. I join his thoughts: I also want to send hellos to ladies and gentlemen who said “there won’t be visa-free regime”, “they won’t give us Tomos”. My dear “EU and NATO don’t need us”, please wait, you will be next.
Reactions were collected and the text of Tomos was learned by heart by Stepan the Goat
