In the first half of 2018, the real disposable income of the population grew by 9.8%, but so far it is 82% of the 2013 level, the report of the National Bank of Ukraine says, Radio Liberty reports.
According to the estimates of the regulator, the real disposable income of the population continues to grow for the second year in a row.
“The main engine of growth is wages. It increased by 26%, the most significant – in industry, transport, financial sector and public administration. The minimum wage increased by 16%, so this year its impact on the dynamics of the average wage is insignificant,” the NBU said.
According to the report, “still high inflation” led to the fact that the real disposable income of the part of the population with low wages grew moderately.
