And here’s some more politics. The leader of the Civic Movement Hvylia and MP Viktor Chumak announced his support for Anatoliy Hrytsenko in the upcoming elections. As a result, these two forces will jointly go to the presidential, parliamentary and local elections. Chumak has been already appointed as a chief of staff. More about new regroupings – in reactions from DUMKA.

This news became known today, on December 10, during a press conference of Viktor Chumak and Anatoliy Hrytsenko.  Thus, as it was noted by economist Volodymyr Kompaniiets, Chumak will not run for the presidency, and Hrytsenko will become a candidate from a “democratic opposition”.

People’s deputy Yehor Firsov also reported about this consolidation on his page, noting that he has long been acquainted with Chumak and has worked with him in parliament and in public life a lot. “We have common values and a shared vision of the future,” says Firsov’s commentary.

And in the hot pursuit of the first discussions of such a political duo, we will pay attention to the post of political expert Olexiy Minakov. The specialist reminded that this is the very Chumak, who from his billboards told us about “embezzlements in the army.” Where is a connection? Obviously, in the fact that this sin is attributed to Anatoliy Hrytsenko. So here we have some kind of a dissonance in the union that may stay in the network’s memory for quite a long time.

According to blogger Mykhailo Chaplyha , such a scenario appeared to be quite anticipated and organic, and even right in terms of a parliamentary campaign. However, the blogger noted that Hrytsenko doesn’t win in any round, but considering the prospect of passing to the parliament the action is still right. But the newly-made duo may have quite more chances after joining with other candidates, who have a higher rating.

Oleksandr Doniy, head of the Center for the Study of Political Values, instead, stated that some of those politicians who announced early on the start of the presidential campaign are already quitting the race and/or joining someone, who is stronger and more promising from their point of view. And somebody is just starting to “enter” the race. This concerns two latest news: Chumak and Hrytsenko consolidation and statements by Olha Bohomolets about the intention to compete for the presidency.

Roman Shevchenko, an ex-assistant to the head of the State Border Guard Service, in his turn named such a duet “the hope that Ukraine will really have its junta” and tried to illustrate the news with one of the folk songs.

Serhiy Tsyhipa, a political expert, journalist and major of the Armed Forces Reserve, added that Chumak and Hrytsenko proposed joining their alliance to other potential presidential candidates, including Sadovyi, Bezsmertnyi, Tomenko, Katerhenchuk, and Vakarchuk. Meanwhile, as the author of the article stated, it may be noted that the political project with the conditional name “Concerned civil position” has been started.

Reactions were collected and nobody was joined by Stepan the Goat
