In September, during the UN General Assembly, where leaders from all countries will meet with the MH-17 investigation team, they will announce when the court will be set up. This was stated in a comment to Ukrinform by the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine on European Integration Olena Zerkal.

“I think that in September, during the UN General Assembly, when the leaders of all countries will meet with the investigation team, it will be announced when the court will be set up,” Zerkal said. She reminded that the Netherlands had already determined the place of trial, which had conditions for consideration of such a large-scale process as MH17. This is the Schiphol court complex in Badhoevedirp, about 50 km from The Hague and a few kilometers from the Schiphol Airport.

According to Zerkal, no new names will be disclosed to the beginning of the process. It has already identified the number of people involved in the tragedy – it is more than 100 people. Work with witnesses, including the one with witnesses from Russia, is underway and the management is very concerned with their safety. As reported, Malaysian Airlines Boeing 777, the Amsterdam-Kuala Lumpur flight, was shot down in Donbas on July 17, 2014. On board were 298 people, all of them had died.
