German Chancellor Angela Merkel and United States President Donald Trump discussed the situation in Ukraine. This is stated in a statement by the spokesman of the Federal Government of Germany Steffen Zaybert upon the results of the telephone conversation between Merkel and Trump, UNIAN reports.
They urge Russian to influence the Syrian regime and to prevent further aggravation of the situation. “The situation in Ukraine and in the Western Balkans was among those talks,” the statement said. Other details are not reported.
