The Ministry of Defense did not allocate additional funds to the military parade on Independence Day in the center of Kyiv. This in a comment to Ukrainska Pravda told the head of the Media Relations Department of the Defense Ministry Olexander Motuzyanik.

The speaker explained that a lot of structures are involved in the parade, and each contributes a share on its own estimate.

“Nobody considered these means … How much money was spent on fuel and lubricants, military travelers, on their living, on the form … we do not have such information,” he said.

Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak earlier said that on August 24, 4,500 servicemen will take part in solemn events on the occasion of the 27th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence and the 100th anniversary of Ukrainian statehood on Maydan Nezalezhnosti.

According to him, 250 military equipment will be involved in the parade, including new weapons.
