August finally showed who is the eldest in the house. Because all those June jumps in air temperature, July showers with thunderstorms and even tornadoes are not enough to determine the summer. When we talk about summer, the main characteristic for us is the air temperature. Was it cold, was it warm, were there frosts in June, was there a heat in August? And when the furious heat raged in Western Europe, we rejoiced at a moderately warm and comfortable degree in Ukraine. But finally, the Ukrainian columns of thermometers showed that we are not worse than other people.
Heat in the middle of August covered most of the regions of Ukraine.
On August 16, hot weather will remain in the southern part of Ukraine, in the east and in most of the central regions. The air temperature during the day will reach +30 +36 degrees.
The sun, dry air and intense heat provoke an extreme level of fire danger. Therefore, special care in handling fire comes to the fore. In any case, you should not burn the garbage, throw cigarette butts or make a fire in the forest or in the field.

On Thursday in the western regions and northern Ukraine, the cold atmospheric front from Poland will result in a weakening of the heat to +24 +29 degrees and periodic local rains with thunderstorms.
Till the end of the week, before the Apple Spas, on August 17, 18 and 19, such distribution of air temperature and meteorological phenomena will be kept.
In the northern part of Ukraine and in the west there are periodically storm rains of different calibres, from a few drops to a short rainfall. The columns of thermometers will fluctuate within +24 +29 degrees.
In the southern part, in the east and in the centre, a dry, hot air mass with an air temperature of +30 +37 degrees will dominate.
On Monday, such a synoptic trend in Ukraine will hold. The atmospheric front will cause local storm rains and warm weather in the west and north, and a zone of high atmospheric pressure, an anticyclone, will create conditions for dry and hot weather in the south, east and in the central regions.
On August 21, 22, and 23, the thermal Ukrainian picture will remain unchanged, from +24 +29 degrees in the west and the north and +30 +36 degrees in the south, east and in the central regions. But the rains will evaporate and again in most regions of Ukraine will prevail dry air mass.
In Kyiv, on August 16, Thursday, the heat will weaken. Due to the activity of the atmospheric front in the capital, there will be separate local storm rains that will reduce the air temperature to +28 +29 degrees.
On August 17, 18 and 19, a warm weather, but without extreme heat will stay in Kyiv. The bars of metropolitan thermometers will fluctuate within +27 +29 degrees. A high humidity with a probability of periodic rains and thunderstorms is expected.
On Monday, August 20, there will be a short rain and thunderstorms in Kyiv. On August 21, 22 and 23 in the capital will prevail dry weather, it will be cloudy and sunny. The air temperature will correspond to the season, it is assumed around +27 +29 degrees in the daytime.

The sun, and thunderous downpours, and even intense heat – all this is summer. The summer that we love notwithstanding its high standards, that is, degrees.
