US President Donald Trump has criticized some of the provisions of the 2019 US National Defense Law (NDAA) signed by him on August 13. USA Today writes about it.
After signing, Trump stated that “he is very proud of his prominent role in this,” however, in a few hours in a statement, the head of the White House criticized four of the eight provisions of the law concerning the Russian Federation. In particular, he did not like the rule that prohibits funding for any projects where Russia’s right to Crimea is supposed to be recognized, as well as the prohibition of military cooperation with Russia until Moscow withdraws troops from Ukraine.
