Opening of Mykhaylo Palinchak exhibition ‘Non-abstract art’

On Friday, 15 December, the opening of photographic exhibition ‘Non-abstract art’ by Mykhaylo Palinchak was held in Odessa Museum of Modern Art.

Mykhaylo Palinchak, a famous photographer from Kyiv, was born in Uzhhorod. He is a member of UPHA.

Organizers mention that a key feature of exhibition is an attempt to rethink the reality through the prism of abstract aesthetics.

DUMKA managed to talk with the curator of exhibition, Mykhaylo Palinchak`s old friend and famous Ukrainian photographer Dmytro Bohachuk, and to find out why, in his opinion, this exhibition is worth to visit:

‘Misha Palinchak`s exhibition is a gift for visual aesthetes in Odessa. Photos carry within them a visual language, the core of which is a strong picturesque tradition but with modern twist! A wire on the snow, as one of the visitors mentioned, does not concede Matisse`s aesthetics! Even this comment says a lot. Colour, shape, graphic – all these are created from the simple plots from which spectators get a lot of pleasure.
