Recently, the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on National Security and Defense has recommended the parliament to vote for the Bill №6688, around which there are so many discussions till today. This draft law can supplement the Criminal Code with a section on blocking of websites that distribute information prohibited in Ukraine. Today, July 5, MPs are going to vote on the Bill. How does the web prepare itself – in reactions from DUMKA.
MP ad ex-journalist Mustafa Nayyem on his web page assured that he will not vote for this bill, because it’s not so much about protecting the information field. According to him it’s more of an evidence… of law enforcement agencies impotence. Everything is simple: during four years of war, no law enforcement agency was able to conduct an effective investigation and demonstrate evidence on the fact of mass media sponsored by Russia. The argument is really bulletproof, but, Mr. Mustafa, why this couldn’t have been tweeted on your page several times? We know what you are capable of.
Here we have MP Serhiy Leshchenko. He blamed of everything the other deputy. It is Pashynskyi, whose committee approved the law on blocking websites without a court decision. According to Leshchenko, the next thing for Pashynskyi to do is building concentration camps and gas chambers. What a fantasy you have, Mr. Leshchenko, it’s even more interesting than your Instagram.
Serhiy Pashynskyi himself stated that there is no “Pashynskyi committee”, but there is a committee where decisions are made by the majority. Nice try to clean you up. And secondly, Pashynskyi says that “experts” mislead their readers about the possibility of blocking websites; instead one should read the text of the Bill. Not again, Mr. Serhiy. Who reads it? What are you talking about?
Yulia Kazdobina, an analyst at the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine, also noted that most of the web experts haven’t read the text of the draft law. Thus they are divided into two types: those who just panic and those who talk about Russia and China. Just curious, taking into account that Kazdobina hasn’t read the Bill, to which group she belongs?
So, is there something else interesting that the leaders of thoughts are writing on the eve of voting? Here, please welcome journalist Mr. Roman Skrypin, who probably reflected general position in the shortest and most accurate way.
Against it was also chairman of the National Union of Journalists Serhiy Tomilenko. He says that in favor of the Bill only the enemies of the press will vote. We’ll see… Who and for what will vote.

Former Deputy Minister of Information Policy Tetyana Popova is convinced that the adoption of the adoption of the bill may become a Ukrainian analogue of “Roskomnadzor”. That’s why she urged deputies not to vote for this document, as well as citizens – not to let such bills happen. Well, citizens, are you ready?
Don’t be scared and no crying! Blogger Anton Hodza has found the way out of the situation: all who vote in favor of this bill will have a son look like Oleh Vynnyk. My goodness. I don’t even know whether it’s worth submitting this Bill for the vote under such a threat.
And in the end – the classics of Facebook creativity. “Our president – the smartest, he won’t accept arbitrariness and law will not be signed for sure”, heh, let’s see, as they say.
